If anyone needed reminding just how competitive this year's Youth Week Sports could be, St. Ann Zone provided the answer on 28th June with an emphatic 10-0 victory over St. Vincent Zone — by far the biggest scoreline of the competition so far.

St. Ann's attack was relentless from the very start, finding gaps in the St. Vincent defence again and again as the goals piled up. What made the performance stand out wasn't just the number of goals scored, but the consistency of it — St. Ann rarely let up, and by full time had put together a display that will be talked about for the rest of the tournament. At the other end, their defence held firm throughout, ensuring St. Vincent were unable to find any way back into the contest.

For St. Vincent Zone, it was a difficult day from start to finish. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to find their rhythm against a St. Ann side that seemed to have an answer for everything thrown at them. It's the kind of result that can test morale, but with more fixtures still to come, St. Vincent will be looking to put it behind them and refocus on the rest of their campaign.

As for St. Ann Zone, the result places them among the early favourites in the eyes of many following the competition. A ten-goal margin is a rare thing in any tournament, and it has set expectations high for what they might be capable of as Youth Week Sports continues.

Whether St. Ann can carry this form forward will be one of the storylines to watch in the weeks ahead — but for now, Group B belongs firmly to them.
